VETERINARY DEPARTMENT
The Arabian Horse Treasury, wishing to ensure the peace of mind and comfort of its clients during their horse purchase deliberations, coordinates veterinary services to provide a reliable assessment of the health of the horses featured on the website. Each horse listed on the website is clinically examined according to a standardised Protocol. This Protocol includes an interview and a two-stage clinical examination. The interview concerns the horse's health history and current state of health, as well as possible behavioural disorders, to the best knowledge of the horse owner or an official representative taking care of the horse. The clinical examination carried out within the described scope informs about the horse's state of health at the moment of its performance. The examination Protocol is on the horse's offer page and is always available for your inspection. For those interested in purchasing, each seller enables the possibility of additional examinations. The Arabian Horse Treasury will assist in organising and coordinating additional examinations on request of the person interested in the purchase. The additional examinations will be conducted by veterinarians experienced in a given field, e.g. orthopaedics, cardiology, ophthalmology or reproduction, and the results of the tests will be available to the person ordering them. The scope of the tests can be discussed individually, taking into account the intended use of the horse. All arrangements regarding veterinary examinations are coordinated by Alicja Świetlikowska — co-founder of Horse Treasury and veterinarian.
Below you can read the Protocol and instructions for conducting the examination, which each seller/representative must fill in and submit to the Arabian Horse Treasury.
