What are the different types of Arabian Horse Treasury Auctions?

Every horse and Seller is unique, so to meet your expectations the system offers three types of Auctions - Season Auction, Private Auction, Ongoing Auction. Firstly, you may enter as many horses as you wish in the Seasonal Auctions, which usually take place in spring and autumn. Your horse will be auctioned as part of a larger lot, and the anticipation of this intensively advertised event is likely to attract many bidders. Secondly, you can have your own Private Auction created. This means that the Auction will take place at a time of your choosing and your horses will get the full attention of the Buyers. You can even have an invitation-only Auction. Thirdly, you can submit a horse to our Ongoing Auction for a period of six months. This six-month period will be divided into two-week Auctions, and if no bidders win during the next two weeks, the Auction will disappear for 24 hours and then automatically renew for the next two-week period. Ongoing Auctions may be held at any time, within 48 hours after confirmation of your registration, and you may decide to extend the Auction of your horse if it is not sold within a period of six months.

What will happen after the Auction, if your horse has not been sold?

This applies to Seasonal or Private Auctions:

  1. After the end of the Auction, you will be informed by e-mail about the status of your Auction.
  2. At the same time, the system will offer you the opportunity to further promote and sell your horse in the auction system. Any Seller who has not sold his horse in a Seasonal or Private Auction may transfer his application to a Ongoing Auction. This six-month period will be divided into two-week Auctions and if no bidder wins during the two-week period, the Auction will disappear for 24 hours and will then be automatically reactivated and extended for another two-week period. The Ongoing Auction will start within 48 hours after the confirmation of the transfer of the application. This is a free offer and does not generate any additional costs for the Seller.

For Ongoing Auction:

  1. The Ongoing Auction ends 6 months after the offer is displayed.
  2. After the Auction ends, you will be informed by email about the status of your Auction.
  3. After the end of the Ongoing Auction, the Seller has the option of transferring the horse registration to a Seasonal Auction or a Private Auction, or to re-register the horse for the Ongoing Auction.
  4. In special cases, if the Arabian Horse Treasury agrees, the Seller has the possibility to transfer the horse's application from the Ongoing Auction to the Seasonal or Private Auction before the end of the 6-month period.
